Orange County Environmental Protection Division to Host Free Don’t Pitch It, Fix It! Event

WHAT: In recognition of Earth Day, Orange County Environmental Protection Division will host a Don’t Pitch It, Fix It! event on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Taft Community Center, located at 9450 S. Orange Ave. Volunteer fixers will offer free minor repairs of gently used household items, including small electronics, bicycles, jewelry, eyeglasses, watches, clothing and more.

Sustainability, innovation and collaboration are exemplified in this workshop. This event encourages residents to extend the life of their belongings by having them fixed, ultimately reducing consumption and landfill waste.
