Orange County launches “PPE for Small Biz Initiative” under Guidance of the Economic Recovery Task Force

Mayor Jerry L. Demings SealOrange County, Fla. – During this COVID-19 initiative, personal protective equipment – or PPE – will be given to small businesses in Orange County in order to help them reopen and sustain themselves.

Distribution will begin on Monday, May 11th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will remain open during the same operating hours until Friday, May 15, 2020, or until supplies run out.

One million face masks and 200,000 travel-size hand sanitizer bottles will be put into kits and distributed to up to 20,000 small businesses. There are six drive-thru pick-up sites throughout the County. To learn more or sign up go to www.ocfl.net/PPE

There are two scheduled media availability’s. 

At 9:00 a.m. the location is Orange Technical College.

 At 1:00 p.m., the location is Corner Lake Middle School.

An Orange County staff person will be onsite for interviews in Spanish at the Corner Lake Middle School event.
