Avalon Road Roadway Conceptual Analysis Study | Public Meeting on March 28, 2018

Orange County, Fla. – Orange County is conducting a Roadway Conceptual Analysis (RCA) Study for the planned improvement (four-lane widening) of Avalon Road from Florida’s Turnpike to W. Colonial Drive (SR 50), a distance of approximately 0.43 miles.

The County invites you to attend a community meeting to review potential alternatives that are under consideration and to provide input. The study will assess both social and environmental impacts associated with the planned road development. Beyond the evaluation of the design options and potential impacts, the study will also consider several key design elements, including but not limited to, drainage improvements, sidewalks, bicycle facilities, lighting and landscaping.

The meeting will begin with an open house at 6 pm. At 6:30 pm, there will be a formal presentation, followed by a question-and-answer forum. Aerial maps, potential improvements and other project-related information will be available for public review and comment. The Orange County Study Team will be available to discuss the project and answer any questions.
