Orange County Emergency Management Remains at Level 3 Monitoring Status
Orange County, Fla. – Orange County’s Emergency Operations Center remains at a level 3 “monitoring” status for Tropical Storm Emily. Emergency managers remain in close communication with local and state officials as the storm makes its way across Florida. According to the National Weather Service, Emily made landfall on Anna Maria Island.
At this time, the storm is expected to track just south of Orange County with no projection for dangerous winds. Residents are asked to closely monitor the path of the storm. The Orange County Emergency Operations Center will release updates as necessary.
Residents are encouraged to download the OCFL Alert on their smartphone and mobile devices for severe weather alerts and information from Orange County’s Office of Emergency Management. Citizens may also receive updates on Orange County’s Twitter and Facebook pages.
