Orange County Animal Services Sees Payoff from Multiple Initiatives, Announces Record High Adoption Month

Orange County Animal Services had a record number of shelter pets adopted in July. Last month, 339 dogs, 297 cats and 10 smaller pets including, rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets, left the shelter with new “forever families” resulting in a total of 646 adoptions. This is the highest number of adoptions in the shelter’s history and tops July 2013 by 32 percent.
