Growing a Business? BizLink Orange is a One-Stop Resource to Help

Business

Orange County Government has launched a new website called BizLink Orange to help businesses as they build their presence in Orange County. The site is a one-stop shop to access entrepreneurial resources including how-to guides, coaching and other tools to help them start and grow their businesses.

BizLink Orange is a new economic development program managed by the National Entrepreneur Center and has already attracted more than 40 participating organizations for its initial launch on Nov. 8, 2021.

“Orange County is home to the most innovative and hard-working business owners in the world,” said Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings. “The County helped in the creation of the National Entrepreneur Center, and this tool provides the next logical step for connecting business owners to the resources that will support their growth, which benefits our entire region.”

BizLink Orange uses a powerful resource navigator to give entrepreneurs easy online access to Central Florida’s vast array of non-profit business assistance organizations. This regional approach to small business support provides efficiency and leverage for the organizations, while also enabling entrepreneurs to quickly locate needed resources in a single visit.

“Regardless of the stage of development, small businesses are vital to the economic health of our region,” explained Eric Ushkowitz, Economic Development Administrator, Orange County Government. “BizLink Orange, the National Entrepreneur Center and its partners allow us to efficiently deliver a wealth of expertise and know-how into the hands of local business owners and entrepreneurs.”

BizLink Orange’s network of Resource Partners provides one-on-one business coaching and a wide range of business training topics, including business planning, loans/financing, marketing/sales, licenses/permits, startup assistance, product development, training classes, government contracting, operations, human resources, accounting, and international trade.

“Until now, it could be difficult and time consuming for entrepreneurs to find the agencies that could provide the assistance they needed, especially at the right time.,” asserted Andrea Wesser-Brawner, Chief Innovation Officer for Orange County Government. “We’re confident that BizLink Orange will resolve these issues and leave our small business community well-positioned for long-term success.”

The Central Florida region has continually been rated as a top spot in America for starting and growing a business, due to public and private collaboration. This has always been an important issue for Mayor Demings, who spoke at the launch event at the National Entrepreneur Center during Global Entrepreneurship Week on Nov. 8, 2021.

You can connect directly with a Resource Partner online by going to the BIZLINK Orange Resource Navigator or by emailing a request for assistance to info@bizlinkorange.com. You can also call the hotline number at 1-800-747-2030 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
