Oversees the regulation of emergency medical services to residents and visitors of Orange County; provides medical direction, quality assurance, improvement and supervision of pre-hospital care; monitors and licenses emergency and non-emergency providers, paramedics and emergency medical technicians to ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws; and coordinates emergency management planning and services for the people registered in the Special Needs Program.
