Statement from Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs Regarding Hurricane Maria

“As we continue to receive reports of damage in Puerto Rico, the sheer magnitude of Hurricane Maria’s impact on this beautiful island is becoming apparent. With communications still so very limited, we know that many Central Florida citizens and visitors are anxiously awaiting word from their loved ones. Orange County continues to pray for all of those impacted by #HurricaneMaria, and stands ready to assist our neighbors in any way that we can. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the many first responders and every day citizen heroes who are working right now to provide critical assistance to our beloved Puerto Rican brothers and sisters.”
