Orange County Utilities Hosts Community Collection of Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste in Apopka

Orange County, FL – Orange County Utilities invites eligible Orange County residents* to its Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste Community Collection Event on Saturday, October 18, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Apopka High School located at 555 W. Martin Street, Apopka, FL 32712. Participants will have the opportunity to properly dispose of hazardous and electronic waste – free of charge.

The following items will be accepted:

Cooking oil
Flammable liquids
Cleaning fluids
Pool chemicals
Vehicle batteries
Drain cleaners
Brake fluids & antifreeze
Propane tanks (20-lb. max)
DVD players

Participants are prohibited from bringing biologically active materials, radioactive materials, explosives, tires, or ammunition.

*Eligible participants include residents of unincorporated Orange County and the cities of Apopka, Ocoee, Orlando, Windermere, and Winter Garden only. Proof of residency is required.
