Mayor Teresa Jacobs Announces Fifth Annual Holiday Heroes Toy Drive
Toy Collection Drop-off Locations throughout Orange County
Orange County, FL – Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs has launched her 2015 Holiday Heroes Toy Drive. This is the fifth year Mayor Jacobs and her team has facilitated the toy drive, which serves children from infants to 18-years-old. Citizens are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys to participating drop-off centers. Last year, Orange County collected more than 4,600 toys for area children. The goal this year is to collect 4,700 toys.
Donations will be delivered to children in need through the Orange County Neighborhood Centers for Families, Wraparound Orange, Orange County Public Schools’ Homeless Program, the Community Food and Outreach Center and Toys for Tots. Mayor Teresa Jacobs’ Holiday Heroes Toy Drive lasts until Dec. 14. Sponsors and partners include WOFL Fox 35, the World’s Finest McDonald’s, Valencia College and Winter Park High School.
Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:

- Orange County Parks & Recreation Facilities
- Orange County Holiday Events
- Orange County Government Administration Center – 201 S. Rosalind Ave., Orlando, FL 32801
- Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts Box Office – 445 S. Magnolia Ave., Orlando, FL 32801, Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Saturday – 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
- Canvs – Church Street Exchange, 101 S. Garland Ave. Suite 108, Orlando, FL 32801
Additionally, Mayor Jacobs will also “flip the switch” on Dec. 12, at 5:45 p.m., to illuminate Heritage Square Park at the Orange County Regional History Center’s annual Holiday at Heritage Square event.
