Deputy Scott Pine Community Park Grand Opening
WHAT: Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs, District 1 Commissioner Betsy VanderLey and Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings will attend the grand opening of the Deputy Scott Pine Community Park in West Orange County.
The 19.5-acre park was created in memory of Orange County Deputy Scott Pine, who lost his life while responding to a call in southwest Orange County in 2014. The park will open the day before the 4-year anniversary of his passing.
The park, shared between Orange County and Orange County Public Schools, has a multi-purpose field for recreational use. It will also serve as the new football stadium for Windermere High School.
