Orange County Government Offers Small Businesses Free, Reusable Cloth Masks: Two Convenient Pick-Up Sites at Barnett & Downey Park

Orange County, Fla. (May 29, 2020)PPE for Small Biz in Orange County, an Orange County Government COVID-19 initiative to help small businesses receive free personal protective equipment (PPE), will offer reusable cloth masks to small businesses – all at no cost.

The County will distribute the PPE at Barnett Park and Downey Park on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 and Thursday, June 4, 2020. Operating hours will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Small businesses must pre-register at www.ocfl.net/PPE and bring a confirmation ticket.

“Due to the overwhelming positive response we received on the PPE program from our small businesses in Orange County, we are continuing the program,” said Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings. “Orange County has already distributed 2.2 million face masks to small businesses and 280,000 hand sanitizers. Ultimately, this PPE assists them in reopening and sustaining their operations during this challenging time.”

In addition to small businesses, the County has also provided PPE to many social service organizations. County residents can receive a kit of facemasks and hand sanitizer when they are tested for COVID-19 at an Orange County Health Services testing site.

In order for small businesses in Orange County to qualify and pick-up, they must register by completing and submitting an Interest Form at www.ocfl.net/PPE. Small businesses must have an appointment to visit one of the pick-up sites.

In order to be eligible, small businesses can be either for-profit or non-profit with majority operations located in Orange County; and must employ no more than 40 individuals, regardless of full-time or part-time status.

For more information on the two available pick-up sites and information about how to complete an Interest Form, visit www.ocfl.net/PPE. For more information, contact 311.
