Orange County Citizens Safety Task Force to Reconvene at the Silver Star Recreation Center
Orange County, Fla. – Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings is announcing the reconvening of the Citizens Safety Task Force in response to the recent gun violence taking place in Orange County last month.
The Task Force meeting will take place on March 31, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. The location is the Silver Star Recreation Center Orlando Magic Gymnasium. The purpose of the meeting is for task force members to review the 2021 Task Force Report along with the approved recommendations.
The goal will be to ensure the recommendations continue to meet the public safety needs of the community. The task force will discuss making possible modifications to the current report and the funding recommendations.

The participants include young adults, youth mentors, faith-based leaders, behavioral health professionals, community advocates, law enforcement officers, education and prevention professionals, and service-based organizations.
