Orange County Legislative Delegation Announces 2025 Public Meeting

Orange County, FL – Senator Geraldine Thompson, Delegation Chair, has released the following information concerning the Orange County Legislative Delegation’s public meeting:

Thursday, January 9, 2025

Time:
9 a.m. – Noon (Government officials and spokespersons for government – related entities)
2 p.m. – (Individuals and community – related entities.)

Location:
Orange County Administration Building
Commission Chambers – First Floor
201 South Rosalind Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801

Speaker Information:
The delegation will hear testimony from government officials and spokespeople for government-related entities and conduct delegation business from 9 a.m. until noon. The delegation will reconvene at 2 p.m. to hear testimony from individual citizens and community entities. Persons wishing to address the delegation, must request a place on the agenda by submitting an online speaker’s form at: https://www.ocfl.net/OpenGovernment/LegislativeDelegation/StateLegislativeDelegation.aspx

The form will be available through 5 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024. All back up materials must accompany the request at the time of submission. For those unable to submit online, you may attend the meeting and fill out a speaker’s card on the day of the meeting. Should time permit, those who submit a request on the day of the meeting will be heard after the last speaker on the agenda.

Public comment will be made in person – there is no virtual option for this meeting. To accommodate as many speakers as possible, groups presenting to the delegation are requested to have only one individual speak on behalf of an organization. Presentations are limited to a maximum of three (3) minutes. In the case of a higher-than-expected response, that time limit may be reduced to accommodate more speakers.
