Orange County Redistricting Advisory Committee Meeting Set for April 10, 2025
Orange County, FL – A committee meeting of the 2025 Mid-Decennial Redistricting Advisory Committee charged with making recommendations for expanding the number of Orange County Commission Districts from six to eight will take place on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the Meadow Woods Recreation Center, located at 1751 Rhode Island Woods Circle, Orlando, FL 32824. The meeting is the third of six community meetings scheduled within the districts, offering residents the opportunity to provide input into the redistricting process.

In November 2024, Orange County voters approved a charter amendment to expand the number of commission districts from six to eight. The Orange County Board of County Commissioners is undertaking a redistricting process to establish new district boundaries and incorporate the two additional districts. To support this effort, the Board formed the 2025 Mid-Decennial Redistricting Advisory Committee in January 2025. The committee is responsible for:
- Public meetings to gather community input
- Reviewing census data
- Proposing the boundaries for two new commission districts and recommending adjustments to existing districts
- Submitting a non-binding recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners for review in September 2025
