“Make Music Orange County” Set to Debut on June 21
Registration now open for host venues and musicians
Orange County, FL –Make Music Orange County, a wild and wonderful mix of free public musical events, will make its debut on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Performances will be offered at a variety of locations throughout Orange County and are FREE and open to the public.
Any musician, amateur or professional, young or old, is invited to take part by signing up at Make Music Orange County. Businesses, buildings, schools, churches, and other institutions can visit the website to include their outdoor spaces as concert locations.
Registration is now open and will close on June 19, 2025. This celebration is a joint effort of Orange County’s Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs and United Arts of Central Florida.
“The arts are a vital part of our diverse community and enhance the quality of life for visitors and residents,” said Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings. “Make Music Orange County is an opportunity to showcase talented residents, and we encourage families and individuals to participate.”
“Every day, the beautiful sounds of music can be heard all across Orange County,from performances at local theaters to guitarists strumming during lunch in downtown Orlando,” said Jennifer Evins, CEO of United Arts of Central Florida. “Make Music Orange County invites everyone to sing a song, share their voice, or play an instrument, and join the celebration.”
Make Music Orange County is part of Make Music Day, a global music celebration that takes place on the summer solstice each year and brings people of all ages and skill levels together to make music. This year, over 150 U.S. cities will host thousands of Make Music performances across the country as part of the world’s largest annual music event.
Make Music Day began in France in 1982 as the Fête de la Musique and has spread to over 2,000 cities across the globe. Completely different from a typical musical festival, Make Music concerts are performed by anyone who wants to take part and are enjoyed by everyone who wants to attend performances of all kinds on the longest day of the year.
