Orange County Government Announces the Mayor’s Citizens Academy to Return for Fall 2025 Session

Application window set to open Tuesday, July 1, 2025

Orange County, Fla. – The Orange County Mayor’s Citizen Academy is set to return for a Fall 2025 Session. The Fall session will run from Thursday, July 31 through October 2, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at various Orange County Government facilities.

The Mayor’s Citizens Academy is an engaging 10-week program designed to offer participants an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at local government. Through interactive sessions, guided facility tours, and direct engagement with Orange County leadership, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the County’s operations, services, and community impact.

The application window for the Fall 2025 session of the Mayor’s Citizens Academy will open on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Orange County residents are encouraged to apply early, as space is limited and participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.

To participate, applicants must be at least 18 years of age and residents of Orange County. Participants in the Mayor’s Citizen Academy must attend a minimum of 7 sessions to graduate from the program.
