Orange County Launches Environmental Advisories for Smart Phones
Orange County, FL – Orange County is introducing new environmental advisories through its OCFL Alert and OCFL 311 smart phone applications. Current advisories include road closures and weather alerts.
Orange County’s new environmental smart phone advisories include:
- Prescribed burn notices
- Aquatic plant management herbicide application dates and associated restrictions on lakes
- Water quality warnings such as algae blooms and high levels of bacteria
- Air quality issues
Citizens may receive advisories by email or by downloading smart phone applications through Orange County’s website, http://www.orangecountyfl.net/Home/NewslettersAlerts.aspx.
