Orange County 2020 Charter Review Commission Public Hearing
Orange County, Fla. – Orange County 2020 Charter Review Commission Chair Camille Evans announces the third of six public hearings scheduled for Orange County residents.
DISTRICT 1
Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 6 p.m.
Dr. Phillips High School, South Cafeteria
6500 Turkey Lake Road
Orlando, Florida 32819
The Charter Review Commission (CRC) is endeavoring to reach out to all Orange County residents by holding public hearings in several communities. It is the desire of the commission to have Orange County residents speak at the public hearings regarding any issues they have concerning their charter and the Orange constitution.
In order to have effective county government, it is essential that the Orange County Charter reflect the concerns of its residents. All feedback is important and will be considered when preparing referendums for the general election of November 2020. The CRC looks forward to a large number of Orange County residents attending these public hearings and speaking before the CRC.
The public is invited to attend and be heard regarding any desired change to the Orange County Charter. It would be very useful if a one-page briefing document and proposed charter language could be brought to the hearing for the CRC. You are encouraged to review all proposals under consideration and those acted upon by visiting https://www.occompt.com/clerk-of-the-bcc/charter-2020/.
You may also contact charter2020@occompt.com with your recommendations, if you are unable to attend one of the CRC public hearings.
Additional public hearings will be planned within each of Orange County’s districts.
