Orange County Public Schools Students to Present at Domestic Violence Commission Meeting

WHAT: Orange County Public Schools high school students with the DM&A me & my commUnity program will present findings to address domestic violence solutions to the Orange County Domestic Violence Commission.

The DM&A’s me & my commUnity program was created by Diane Meiller-Cook, to provide an opportunity for high potential, under-served girls in their junior year of high school to work side by side with a “mentor” to analyze and develop solutions to Central Florida’s most serious problems.

The mentors are high-profile female executives who guide the students to assess the problem by using skills in research, critical thinking, leadership, collaboration, fiscal stewardship and communications. The 2019 mentors who participated in the program included executives from Orlando Utilities Commission, Darden Restaurants, Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID), Schellman & Company, Orlando Health as well as Diane Meiller and Associates.

All Domestic Violence Commission meetings will be available through Orange TV; a live broadcast will not be available. A link to the meeting is located on the Orange County Government’s website. For more information visit
