The Orange County 2020 Charter Review Commission (CRC) Ethics Concerning Lobbyists Subcommittee will present a second reading of its final report containing its recommendations to the CRC and Orange County residents.

After careful consideration of the information presented, the Ethics Concerning Lobbyists Subcommittee voted to recommend no amendments to the Orange County Charter be made with respect to the Ethics Concerning Lobbyists Evaluation Topic. The subcommittee also voted to recommend no amendments to the Orange County Charter be made with respect to the creation of an Ethics Commission separate from the Ethics Advisory Board that currently is provided for under the Orange County Ethics Code.

At its meeting on March 4, 2020, the CRC will vote on whether to accept the subcommittee’s recommendations. The public is invited to attend and be heard. You are encouraged to review the work of the subcommittee, including its report containing its recommendation, by visiting prior to the meeting.
