Orange County, Fla. – The Orange County 2020 Charter Review Commission (CRC) Citizen-Initiated Charter and Ordinance Amendment Process Subcommittee will present a first reading of its final report containing its recommendation to the CRC and Orange County residents.

After careful consideration of the information presented, the Citizen-Initiated Charter and Ordinance Amendment Process Subcommittee voted to recommend a change to the Orange County Charter be made with respect to suspending time for gathering petition signatures during mandatory reviews and setting deadline for 1% notification.
The Citizen-Initiated Charter and Ordinance Amendment Process Subcommittee is scheduled to present its final report for second reading to the full CRC and Orange County residents on May 14, 2020. At this meeting, the CRC will vote on whether to accept the subcommittee’s recommendations. The public is invited to attend and be heard at both meetings.
