Orange County Government and Orlando Chapter of the Links Partner with Local Organizations to Host “Communiversity” Vaccine Events

Mayor Demings' SealOrange County, Fla. –To continue the highly successful  “I Got My Shot” public safety campaign, Orange County Government is partnering with the Orlando (FL) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated to offer COVID-19 vaccines to ensure accessibility to underserved neighborhoods through its “Communiversity Vaccination Strong and Mask to Protect, Unmask to Inform Initiative.”

Mobile vaccination events are scheduled for two Saturdays in both June and July. This collaboration aims to highlight how our region is “Communiversity Vaccination Strong” by bringing together universities and the local community toward this COVID-19 relief effort.

In addition to providing Pfizer and the Johnson & Johnson vaccines, residents will have the opportunity to participate in a free food distribution and also go home with free PPE, gift cards and other giveaways while supplies last.

This event is supported by the Jacqueline Bradley and Clarence Otis Family Branch Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida and UCF & Valencia College Downtown Campus along with the collaborative partners of the City of Orlando, Florida Department of Health in Orange County, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, Florida Technical College, Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University School of Law, United Foundation of Central Florida and the Black Nurses Association.

*Minors must have a parent/guardian present at the time of vaccination and fill out a consent form.
