Orange County and Community Partners to Honor Vietnam Veterans for their Service & Sacrifice
A drive-by recognition ceremony celebrating National Vietnam War Veterans Day, Friday, March 25, 2022
Orange County, Fla. – The Orange County Mayor Demings’ Veterans Advisory Council announce a National Vietnam War Veterans Day Program on March 25th at the Lake Baldwin VA Medical Center – 5201 Raymond Street, Orlando, FL 32803. The Vietnam War Veterans Day Event will begin at 12:30 p.m. with a proclamation presentation (invitation only – not open to public) which will last approximately 30 minutes. It will be followed by a drive-by pinning ceremony for Vietnam Veterans.
All Vietnam Era Veterans who served from November 1, 1955 through May 15, 1975 regardless of location will be eligible to receive a 50th Commemoration of Vietnam Veterans Pin and Presidential Proclamation. There will also be 50th Commemoration of Vietnam Veterans Pin for surviving spouses.
This Vietnam War Veterans Day event is being hosted by 50th Commemoration of Vietnam War Veterans National Partners, The Orlando VA Health Care System, Orange County Mayor’s Veterans Advisory Council, City of Orlando Mayor’s Veterans Advisory Council, Vitas Healthcare, Orange County Veterans Service Office, Vietnam Unforgettable Memories Foundation and Heart of Florida United Way.
