Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings to Host Cultural Reception to Conclude Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

Demings, Orange County Government and the Hispanic Heritage Network of Orange County, an employee volunteer-led organization, will present “Unidos: Stronger, Together” a cultural celebration to culminate Hispanic Heritage Month festivities.

The hosted reception on Thursday, October 27, 2022 will feature the presentation of the Hispanic Youth Leadership Awards (HYLA) and the Hispanic Service Award. HYLA recipients are recognized as distinguished Hispanic students who have excelled in academics, sports, community service, social justice activism, and more. The Hispanic Service Award is presented to an organization or individual that has a record of dedicated service and commitment to the Hispanic community.

“Unidos: Stronger, Together” will feature cultural performances, music, over 20 original art pieces by local artists, as well as a showcase of festive traditional dresses from several Hispanic countries.
