Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs and Orange County Public Schools to Celebrate Student Peace Art Exhibit, “The Road to Peace,” an Official Event of the Global Peace Film Festival

Art Exhibit Part of Closing Reception and Awards Ceremony

WHAT:

In partnership with the Global Peace Film Festival, Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs and Orange County Public Schools Visual Arts Program will celebrate the participants of a juried student art installation in the Orange County Administration Center’s Atrium Gallery. The Student Peace Art Exhibit, “The Road to Peace,” features creative works by young artists reflecting how they can help build peace in their community and the world. Every participating student artist will receive a certificate. Prizes are awarded for the best work in each category: grades K–2, 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12.

Since 2006, the Global Peace Film Festival has worked with the art teachers and administrators of Orange County Public Schools to create the Student Peace Art Exhibit which celebrates the creativity of young artists and furthers the festival’s mission to use the power of creative media to advance the cause of peace on earth.
