Orange County Government Opens Warming Center

Orange County GovernmentOrange County, Fla. – In preparation for the upcoming cold weather, Orange County Government is supporting the Homeless Services Network (HSN) in notifying residents, homeless individuals, and people without stable housing that Orange County will open a Warming Center.

The Warming Center is located at the Goldenrod Recreation Center/Goldenrod Park, 4863 N Goldenrod Road, Winter Park, FL 32792. Hours of operation will begin Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. and close Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

The warming center will help HSN if capacity is reached at HSN’s partner agencies.

Transportation: Regional LYNX buses will provide free rides for individuals seeking transportation to the listed HSN shelters. Riders must let the LYNX driver know that they need to go to a warming center. The LYNX driver will transport those in need to the nearest HSN shelter location.
