Orange County Government to Launch the First Mayor’s Citizens Academy – En Español

Opening Session is Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.

Orange County, Fla. For the first time, the Mayor’s Citizens Academy will be offered entirely in Spanish. Beginning on Thursday, February 6, at 5:00 p.m. at the Orange County Administration Building in the Commission Chambers, this special version in Spanish is already full.

The Mayor’s Citizens Academy is a dynamic 10-week program that provides an interactive, first-hand look at local government. Participants have an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Orange County facilities and buildings. A few of the departments included in the tour are Orange County Fire Rescue Department, Animal Services, Corrections, and Public Works.

Academy participants will also learn of opportunities to get involved in local government, and about neighborhood programs, services, and initiatives. Throughout the sessions, participants can connect with the county’s leadership team and network with other residents.

Please note: The Mayor’s Citizens Academy registration is closed.
