Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Issued for the SR535 Area in Orange County

FINAL UPDATE: The precautionary boil water advisory has been lifted as of Friday, July 11 at noon. It is no longer necessary to boil water prior to consumption.

July 8, 2025 – Orange County, FL – In follow-up to a water main break earlier today near State Road 535, S. Apopka Vineland Road, Winter Garden Vineland Road and Palm Parkway (see map), Orange County Utilities is issuing a precautionary boil water advisory to affected customers.

Although there is no evidence of contamination, as a precaution, it is recommended that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes be boiled for at least one minute prior to consumption.

The water main break continues to block two of the three southbound lanes on SR535 near Apopka Vineland Road, and crews continue to work in the area.

When the work is completed, the water will undergo at least two days of testing. An update about the status of the precautionary boil water advisory will be issued Thursday, July 10.

Call the Boil Water Hotline at 407-254-9670 for information on the status of the advisory.
