WHAT:
Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs presents Art in the Multicultural Center, featuring “Through Her Eyes” by Guerline Pierre. The Multicultural Center is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays.
“My art focuses on positive representation of Black culture, capturing unique hairstyles and vibrant jewelry,” said Pierre. “I do not limit myself to one medium. I incorporate 3D elements such as clay, hair extensions, and textured paste.”
Born and raised in South Florida to Haitian immigrants, Pierre fell in love with art at the age of six while drawing with pencils. Her art captures nostalgic childhood memories and the everyday moments that bring her joy. She hopes to inspire others through her art.
