Board to discuss Local Government Infrastructure Surtax

Orange County, FL – The Orange County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) will hold a special meeting on Monday, March 2, 2026, to hear a presentation from the Trust for Public Land (TPL) on feasibility research and public opinion surveys related to a potential Local Government Infrastructure Surtax.

· Parks, trails, and outdoor recreation

· Stormwater / water quality improvements

· Land acquisition for affordable housing

· Facilities

· Transportation infrastructure

TPL will present its findings and recommendations. County staff will also outline potential project categories and summarize County and Municipal needs for BCC consideration.
