Mobile Health and Recovery Services Expand in East Orange County
WHAT:
Orange County Health Services will kick off a new initiative that will increase access to critical medical and addiction recovery resources in east Orange County. Beginning Monday, April 27, 2026, the Better Access to Treatment (BAT) Mobile unit will be parked at Transformation Village every Monday and Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Staff from both Health Services and Specialized Treatment, Education and Prevention Services Incorporated (STEPS, Inc.) will provide free primary care services, free HIV and Hepatitis C testing, mental health counseling and addiction recovery services to the community.
Dr. Thomas Hall, director of the Orange County Drug-Free Coalition, Cherly Bello, CEO of STEPS, Inc., and Stephanie Bowman, CEO of One Heart for Women and Children will be at Transformation Village to kick off the initiative on April 27, 2026, and be available for media interviews to explain why this initiative is strongly needed in east Orange County.
