Orange County Celebrates Grand Opening of The Enclave at Canopy Park
New 104-unit community provides affordable housing with rents as low as $400 per month for qualifying households
Orange County, FL — Orange County leaders will join development partners at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 9, to celebrate the grand opening of The Enclave at Canopy Park, a new 104-unit affordable apartment community located at 4440 Canopy Park Loop in Orlando.
Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings, District 6 Commissioner Michael Scott, and Archway Partners President Brett Green will deliver remarks during the ribbon-cutting event.
The Enclave at Canopy Park is the fourth affordable housing community supported by Orange County’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund to open this year, following the completion of the 192-unit Whispering Oaks, the 156-unit Barnett Villas, and the 90-unit Residences at Emerald Villas.
The County invested $3 million from the Trust Fund to support the project, which offers one- and two-bedroom apartment homes to households earning between 22% and 80% of the Area Median Income. Rents are as low as $400 per month for qualifying households, with average rents just over $1,200 per month.
Orlando-based developer Archway Partners has permanently set aside one apartment home at no cost for a local law enforcement officer supporting neighborhood safety. The Enclave at Canopy Park also partners with local nonprofit organizations to provide supportive services for young adults aging out of foster care and individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness. Resident services focus on promoting long-term housing stability, employment, education and financial independence.
The community features amenities designed to enhance residents’ quality of life, including a community center, fitness center, technology lab, gathering spaces, Tesla electric vehicle charging stations, and a public art program featuring murals and sculptures created by local artists. Apartment homes include granite countertops, luxury vinyl plank flooring, full-size kitchen appliances, and energy-efficient construction.
The development has earned National Green Building Standard (NGBS) Emerald Certification, the program’s highest level, recognizing its energy-efficient design, healthier living environment, and lower long-term operating costs that help preserve affordability for years to come.
