Orange County Corrections Department Wins 2025 Award for Best Recruitment Video

Public Health & Safety

The Orange County Corrections Department has been named the winner of the Corrections1 national poll for the Best Recruitment Video of 2025. OCCD’s video, “Step into Something Bigger,” was selected by Corrections1.com readers as the top entry, surpassing notable finalists including the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the New York City Department of Correction, the Delaware Department of Correction, and the Montana Department of Corrections.

This achievement is especially meaningful given the high level of competition. Unlike several entries produced by outside production companies, OCCD’s winning video was created in-house by the talented team at Orange TV, in collaboration with dedicated OCCD staff members. Their creativity, professionalism, and commitment were instrumental in bringing this project to life.

“We are incredibly honored to receive this award recognizing our innovative approach to recruitment,” said Orange County Chief of Corrections Louis A. Quiñones, Jr. “Our goal was to showcase how Orange County Corrections presents unique opportunities for individuals to step into something bigger, and this video perfectly captured that spirit.”

Corrections1 reviewed dozens of submissions nationwide and selected five standout videos for a final round of public voting. After 20 days of open voting, OCCD emerged as the top choice, earning national recognition as the Best Corrections Recruitment Video of 2025.

The Orange County Corrections Department is honored by this distinction, and we appreciate everyone involved in this accomplishment and hopeful that these recruitment efforts will inspire a new generation of professionals committed to serving corrections in 2026 and beyond.
