The Sheriff of Orange County, an elected official, is the sole provider of law enforcement services to unincorporated Orange County, where more than 65 percent of Orange County residents live. The Sheriff’s Office also serves the county’s millions of tourists each year. With more than 2,000 sworn and civilian personnel, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responds to more than one million 911 calls annually.
