Mayor Jerry L. Demings to Provide Opening Remarks at Citizens’ Commission for Children Advisory Board Meeting
Orange County, Fla. – Orange County Citizens’ Commission for Children will hold the first Advisory Board meeting since the expanded board was approved by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners. The board is tasked with prioritizing services for $20 million in new funding earmarked for children’s programs and services. The Advisory Board will now also include community members with institutional knowledge of best practices for children’s services. Mayor Demings will highlight the Citizens’ Commission for Children’s role in this endeavor and his directives and unwavering commitment to protect and serve the children of Orange County.
The advisory board meeting agenda will include the overview and fund distribution timeline and county/community partnerships.
The meeting is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019. The meeting location is the Orange County Administration Center, located at 201 S. Rosalind Ave. in downtown Orlando, in the Commission Chambers on the first floor.
County staff will discuss the report conducted by Forefront Consulting, LLC. The meeting is open to the public and will include public comment.
