Orange County Government Assists Homeless Services Network with Shelter Support
Orange County, Fla. – In preparation for the upcoming cold weather, Orange County Government is supporting the Homeless Services Network (HSN) in notifying residents, homeless individuals, and people without stable housing that Orange County will open a Weather Warming Center beginning Friday., January 13, 2023, at 5 p.m. through Sunday, January 15, 2023, at 10 a.m.
The overflow site will help HSN if capacity is reached at HSN’s partner agencies that provide shelters, listed below.
Transportation: Regional LYNX buses will provide free rides for individuals seeking transportation to the listed HSN shelters. Riders must let the LYNX driver know that they need to go to a shelter. The LYNX driver will transport those in need to the nearest HSN shelter location.
