The Multicultural Center is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays.
“As a first-generation American born in the Bronx to Jamaican immigrants, my creative journey began with fashion design,” said Roye. “While studying fashion design and merchandising, I saw art as more than aesthetics. It became a source of escape, a form of therapy, and a way to stay grounded.”
During college, Roye began exploring painting with acrylics and drawing, which led her to discover the work of Georgia O’Keeffe. O’Keeffe’s art, known for amplifying women’s empowerment, continues to inspire her today.
